ATHLETIC : SUPPLEMENTARY AIDS



Hygiene: This means the maintenance of helth, bodily cleanliness, care of clothing and shoes, avoidance of excesses such as smoking or drinking alcohol or other stimulants, having sufficient sleep and living a regular life. (Sauna and massage are valuable supplementary aids for refreshing the system).

Diet: This should be rational and balanced (calorie count, adequate proportion of proteins, liquids and carbohydrates, with sufficient vitamins and mineral intake (supplemented pharmacologicallyif necessary).

Medical Examination: Periodically a complete medical examination should be undertaken.
