ATHLETIC : PRINCIPLES OF TRAINING – Complementary Systems



AIM

These are designed to improve the athlete’s basic physical qualities and complement specific training in all trick and field events. Both organic and muscular power can be increased, either by using the exercises individually or conjointly.

Strangth and power can be developed by the use of Weight Training and Isometrics, power and flexibility with gymnastic exercises and multiple jumps, strength-endurance by means of Circuit Training. All these elements, plus speed work are United to from Total Training.
